Wolverine Golf Club first opened for play 1965 with the opening of the Blue/Green Course. The Blue/Green nines were designed by Bruce Matthews. The White Course, The Red Course and The Gold Course opened in 1986 and were designed by Jerry Matthews.
The five nine hole courses at Wolverine Golf Club are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The club will sometimes rearrange the combinations for tournaments. The courses are normally played as the Red/Gold Course, the Blue/Green Course and the Green/White Course. The Red/Gold combination is the most difficult. Water is most prevalent on the Green Course, but there is considerable water hazards on all five. Sand bunkers are also a big part of the designs, especially around the greens.
Wolverine Golf Club closed in 2006.
